Be Right in Front of Him

EDITORIAL REVIEW / CRITIC'S TAKE

Is Be Right in Front of Him Worth Your Time?

MiniShort's "Be Right in Front of Him" dangles a deliciously familiar hook: a wronged woman hiding in plain sight, a schemer who thinks she's won, and a boardroom ticking clock. The premise—heiress stripped of her identity, forced to watch a fraud wear her crown—gives vertical viewers exactly what they crave: immediate injustice, a simmering revenge engine, and the promise of a public unmasking. Early episodes move with the brisk, addictive rhythm of the format, stacking misunderstandings and micro-betrayals until the reveal feels both inevitable and irresistible.

Across Reddit threads and MyDramaList boards, the consensus is that the drama's engine runs on its villain's audacity and the heroine's quiet fury. Fans celebrate the boardroom climax as a satisfying payoff—the forged evidence crumbling, the CEO's confirmation landing like a gavel—and praise the loyal love interest for being a steady, supportive presence rather than a source of extra angst. The hidden-identity trope is executed with enough finesse to keep viewers guessing, though some critics note that the middle stretch leans too heavily on coincidental overhearings and recycled misunderstandings. Chemistry between the leads draws consistent praise, but a vocal minority argues that the schemer's schemes become repetitive, and the melodrama occasionally tips into camp. Still, the community agrees that the revenge arc delivers its promised catharsis, even if the journey has a few padded episodes.

For viewers who savor a crisp, trope-forward revenge romance with a decisive boardroom showdown, "Be Right in Front of Him" justifies its coins and its time. It's best suited to fans of hidden-identity dramas who don't mind a little melodramatic excess, and its binge value is high—the short-form pacing makes it easy to devour in one sitting. Just don't expect subtlety; this is a drama that swings for the fences, and for its target audience, that's exactly the point.
