Beast Soul: My F-Rank Worm Is the Primordial Dragon!
Is Beast Soul: My F-Rank Worm Is the Primordial Dragon! Worth Your Time?
The premise of "Beast Soul: My F-Rank Worm Is the Primordial Dragon!" is a masterclass in vertical short drama bait: a seemingly useless creature that is actually the most powerful being in existence. From the first episode, the show hooks viewers with the protagonist's humiliation and the tantalizing hint of hidden greatness. The narrative momentum is relentless, each cliffhanger daring you to watch just one more. It's the kind of underdog fantasy that short-form audiences devour, and the promise of a spectacular reveal keeps the engine running.
Community discussions across Reddit and MyDramaList reveal a consensus that the show delivers on its core tropes, albeit with familiar execution. The revenge arc is satisfying, the hidden identity is teased effectively, and the betrayal by scheming elders adds stakes. Audiences celebrate the protagonist's agency and the loyal love interest's unwavering support, though some note that the romance feels rushed and the melodrama occasionally overpowers logic. The pacing in the middle episodes drew criticism for dragging, but the climax—where the worm evolves into the Primordial Dragon—earned widespread praise for its cathartic payoff. Viewers appreciate the clear villain downfall and the protagonist's ascension, even if the journey is predictable.
For those who relish underdog tales with a dash of romance and revenge, this drama justifies its coins. It's best suited for fans of cultivation and beast-taming tropes who enjoy a quick, bingeable fix. While it won't win awards for originality, its replay value lies in the satisfying comeuppance and the sheer fun of watching the underestimated rise. If you're in for a guilty pleasure that knows exactly what it is, this one's for you.
