[Dubbed] Revenge on the Scumbag Ex-Husband

EDITORIAL REVIEW / CRITIC'S TAKE

Is [Dubbed] Revenge on the Scumbag Ex-Husband Worth Your Time?

MiniShort's dubbed revenge saga hooks viewers with a premise that's pure catnip for vertical drama fans: a humiliated ex-wife who secretly wields billionaire power. The early episodes waste no time establishing the scumbag ex and his mistress, then dangle the promise of a spectacular takedown. That narrative momentum—each cliffhanger pushing you to the next coin unlock—is the engine that keeps thumbs scrolling. The gala climax, where she reveals her hidden identity and exposes his embezzlement, delivers the kind of operatic comeuppance that short-form audiences crave, and it's teased just enough to keep you invested through the setup.

Community chatter across Reddit threads and MyDramaList reviews paints a picture of guilty-pleasure satisfaction mixed with familiar frustrations. Fans celebrate the protagonist's agency—she's not a weeping victim but a calculating CEO—and the chemistry with her loyal ally adds a satisfying romantic payoff. The revenge trope is executed with gleeful excess, and the hidden identity reveal lands as a crowd-pleasing mic-drop. However, viewers frequently note pacing issues: the middle episodes drag with repetitive misunderstandings, and the melodrama occasionally tips into unintentional comedy. The betrayal arc, while effective, relies on well-worn beats that seasoned short-drama watchers can predict. Still, the community consensus is that the highs outweigh the lows, especially when the ex gets his comeuppance.

For those who relish a tightly wound revenge fantasy with a side of romance, this drama justifies the coins—especially if you binge the dubbed version for maximum escapism. It's best suited to fans of hidden-identity power fantasies who can forgive some narrative flab. The replay value is moderate; the gala scene alone is worth a rewatch, but the filler may test your patience. If you're here for the schadenfreude and a satisfying villain downfall, this scumbag ex gets exactly what he deserves.
