(Dubbed) The CEO and His Muscle Girl

EDITORIAL REVIEW / CRITIC'S TAKE

Is (Dubbed) The CEO and His Muscle Girl Worth Your Time?

NetShort's "The CEO and His Muscle Girl" opens with a premise that's catnip for vertical-drama addicts: a CEO who needs protection and the fiercely strong woman who provides it. The early episodes hook viewers with a blend of physical comedy and simmering tension, as our heroine's brute strength clashes with boardroom politics. The promise of a hidden identity—she's not just a muscle girl but the heiress who once saved his company—adds a delicious layer of dramatic irony that keeps the narrative momentum chugging along, even when the plot takes predictable turns.

Community discussions across Reddit and MyDramaList reveal a consensus that the drama's strength lies in its female lead's agency and the slow-burn chemistry. Viewers celebrate her physical prowess and the satisfying karma payback when the scheming ex and rival are publicly disgraced. The trope execution is a mixed bag: the redemption arc and hidden identity are handled with gleeful melodrama, but some find the pacing uneven, especially in the middle episodes where misunderstandings feel stretched. The gym-themed wedding finale is a divisive but memorable capstone, with fans praising the empowerment message while critics note the villain's downfall is rushed. Overall, audiences appreciate the fresh twist on CEO romance but wish for tighter writing.

For those who relish a strong heroine and a satisfying revenge arc, this drama justifies the coins, especially if you binge it in chunks. It's best suited for fans of slow-burn romance with a side of physical comedy and corporate intrigue. While not without flaws, the replay value is high for the gym-wedding scene alone, and the 74-episode commitment feels worthwhile for the payoff. A solid addition to the vertical drama canon.
