[ENG DUB] Welcome to the Hobbes Family

EDITORIAL REVIEW / CRITIC'S TAKE

Is [ENG DUB] Welcome to the Hobbes Family Worth Your Time?

GoodShort's "Welcome to the Hobbes Family" opens with a tantalizing promise: a gala, a hidden recording, and a matriarch's empire crumbling in real time. The early episodes hook viewers by thrusting an underdog protagonist into a viper's nest of wealth and betrayal, where every smile conceals a knife. The narrative momentum is relentless, each cliffhanger engineered to keep thumbs scrolling, and the revenge fantasy is set up with delicious precision. It's the kind of premise that short-form thriller fans devour—a classic tale of power, secrets, and the satisfying snap of a trap finally sprung.

Across discussion boards, the community consensus is that the show delivers on its twisted revenge promise, though not without hiccups. Fans celebrate the protagonist's agency—she's no passive victim but a calculating avenger—and the chemistry with her loyal love interest adds a welcome warmth to the cold-blooded scheming. The tropes are handled with knowing flair: betrayal runs deep, hidden identities surface at the worst moments, and misunderstandings fuel the melodrama. However, some viewers note pacing issues in the middle stretch, where the plot treads water before the climactic gala, and a few find the matriarch's villainy bordering on caricature. Still, the public spectacle of the finale earns widespread praise for its cathartic payoff.

Ultimately, "Welcome to the Hobbes Family" justifies its 55-episode run for those who relish a well-executed revenge thriller with a satisfying comeuppance. It's best suited for fans of underdog rise stories and family sagas drenched in secrets, though those seeking subtlety may find the melodrama heavy-handed. The binge value is high—each episode ends on a hook—and the replay factor lies in savoring the villain's downfall. For a quick, addictive fix, it's a solid investment of coins.
