Love, Once Forgotten

EDITORIAL REVIEW / CRITIC'S TAKE

Is Love, Once Forgotten Worth Your Time?

MiniShort's "Love, Once Forgotten" dangles a tantalizing hook: a billionaire's lost first love, a scheming stepsister, and a locket that could shatter everything. The premise is pure catnip for vertical-drama devotees—hidden identity, revenge, and betrayal wrapped in a glossy, fast-paced package. Early episodes waste no time, plunging viewers into the heroine's amnesiac haze and the hero's simmering suspicion, creating a momentum that makes each cliffhanger feel like a guilty pleasure. It's the kind of setup that keeps thumbs hovering over the "next episode" button, even as logic takes a backseat.

Across community boards and clip reactions, fans celebrate the heroine's quiet resilience and the hero's protective intensity, though some note the chemistry feels more convenient than combustible. The stepsister's villainy is deliciously over-the-top, but her forged evidence scheme strains credulity—viewers on Reddit and MyDramaList often point out that the misunderstanding could be resolved with a single conversation. Still, the revenge arc delivers satisfying schadenfreude, and the locket reveal at the charity gala earns its cheers. The pacing, however, stumbles in the middle stretch, with repetitive confrontations that test patience. Audiences appreciate the trope execution but wish for tighter writing and fewer contrivances.

Ultimately, "Love, Once Forgotten" is a bingeable confection—not a masterpiece, but a satisfying snack for romance-drama fans who crave melodrama with a side of justice. It's best suited for viewers who enjoy hidden-identity twists and don't mind suspending disbelief. The finale's intimate wedding and empire-uniting resolution offer a sweet, if predictable, payoff. For those with coins to spare, it's worth a one-time binge, though replay value is limited. A solid 8.3—entertaining, if forgettable.
