Loving A Ghost Through Him

EDITORIAL REVIEW / CRITIC'S TAKE

Is Loving A Ghost Through Him Worth Your Time?

Loving A Ghost Through Him hooks viewers with a premise that is as absurd as it is irresistible: a woman unknowingly communicates with her dead fiancé through her new lover's possessed body. This supernatural twist on the revenge romance wastes no time, plunging into a conspiracy that threatens the protagonist's inheritance and safety. The early episodes masterfully balance mystery and romance, keeping audiences on the edge of their seats as they piece together the ghost's identity alongside the heroine. The narrative momentum is relentless, with each short episode ending on a cliffhanger that makes it nearly impossible to stop watching.

Community discussions across Reddit and MyDramaList reveal a consensus that the drama's execution of core tropes is both its strength and weakness. Fans celebrate the chemistry between the leads, even when one is literally a ghost, and praise the female lead's agency as she navigates betrayal and hidden identities. The revenge plot against the scheming cousin is satisfying, though some viewers note that the melodrama occasionally tips into overdrive, with pacing that feels rushed in the middle episodes. The hidden identity trope is cleverly deployed, but the possession angle raises questions about consent that some found glossed over. Still, the emotional payoff of the ghost's peaceful departure and the couple's reunion resonates deeply, leaving audiences moved despite the flaws.

For those who relish supernatural romance with a side of revenge, Loving A Ghost Through Him is a binge-worthy treat that justifies the coins spent. It's best suited for fans of short-form drama who appreciate high-concept twists and don't mind a bit of melodramatic flair. While it may not convert skeptics of the genre, its unique premise and satisfying conclusion make it a memorable ride worth revisiting for its standout moments.
