Marry His Dad

EDITORIAL REVIEW / CRITIC'S TAKE

Is Marry His Dad Worth Your Time?

The premise of "Marry His Dad" is a masterclass in short-form provocation: a woman marries her ex-husband's father to exact revenge, only to be revealed as the biological mother of her new groom's son. That twist alone is enough to hook vertical-drama addicts, and the early episodes lean hard into the taboo allure, delivering rapid-fire reveals and simmering tension that keep thumbs scrolling. The narrative momentum is relentless, each cliffhanger engineered to make the next coin spend feel inevitable.

Community chatter across Reddit and MyDramaList paints a divided picture. Fans celebrate the female lead's agency—she's no passive victim but a calculating avenger—and the chemistry between her and the younger groom crackles with forbidden energy. The revenge arc is satisfyingly vicious, and the hidden-identity trope is executed with gleeful melodrama. However, detractors note pacing issues: the middle episodes sag under repetitive misunderstandings, and the bigamist father's villainy veers into cartoonish territory. The betrayal subplot involving the jealous ex-wife feels rushed, with her kidnapping scheme resolved too conveniently. Still, most agree the climax delivers a cathartic payoff, even if the journey there is uneven.

For those who relish over-the-top revenge fantasies with a side of taboo romance, "Marry His Dad" justifies the coins—it's a wild, bingeable ride best enjoyed with a friend and a drinking game. The production values are standard for the platform, but the plot twists are genuinely gasp-inducing. If you demand logical consistency, look elsewhere; but if you're here for scandalous fun, this drama delivers. Replay value is moderate—once the shock wears off, the rewatch appeal dims, but the initial watch is undeniably addictive.
