My Amnesia Puppy-like Boy

EDITORIAL REVIEW / CRITIC'S TAKE

Is My Amnesia Puppy-like Boy Worth Your Time?

At first glance, "My Amnesia Puppy-like Boy" seems like a standard amnesia romance, but its clever blend of revenge, hidden identity, and betrayal gives it a sharp edge that hooks viewers from the first episode. The premise—a man who loses his memory and is manipulated by his cousin—immediately sets up a high-stakes game of cat and mouse. The early episodes waste no time in establishing the central conflict, and the amnesia trope is used not just as a plot device but as a catalyst for suspense. The audience is drawn into the mystery of the male lead's past, and the romance with the female lead adds a layer of emotional urgency. The narrative momentum is relentless, with each short episode ending on a cliffhanger that makes it nearly impossible to stop watching.

Community discussions across Reddit and MyDramaList reveal a consensus that the drama excels in delivering satisfying revenge beats and sizzling chemistry between the leads. Fans celebrate the female lead's agency—she's not just a damsel in distress but an active participant in unraveling the conspiracy. The hidden identity trope is handled with enough twists to keep viewers guessing, and the betrayal by the cousin and assistant feels genuinely infuriating, which makes the eventual comeuppance all the more gratifying. However, some viewers note that the pacing in the middle episodes drags, with repetitive misunderstandings that feel forced. The melodrama is dialed up to eleven, which some find addictive and others find exhausting. The amnesia itself is sometimes used as a convenient plot reset, but the strong performances and the leads' palpable chemistry largely compensate for these shortcomings.

Ultimately, "My Amnesia Puppy-like Boy" is a guilty pleasure that justifies its coin cost for fans of revenge-driven romance. It's best suited for viewers who enjoy over-the-top melodrama, satisfying villain downfall, and a happy ending that ties everything in a neat bow. The replay value is moderate—the reveal loses some impact on rewatch—but the binge factor is high. If you're in the mood for a quick, emotionally charged escape with a side of corporate intrigue, this puppy delivers.
