My Business Partner Is a Ghost

EDITORIAL REVIEW / CRITIC'S TAKE

Is My Business Partner Is a Ghost Worth Your Time?

What if your guardian angel was actually a ghost with a grudge? That's the irresistible hook of "My Business Partner Is a Ghost," a 31-episode vertical drama from DramaBox that blends supernatural mystery with corporate intrigue. When business prodigy Marcus Reid is murdered by his uncle, he returns as a spirit and saves suicidal office worker Dylan Ford, who can see ghosts. Together, they launch a consulting firm staffed by the dead, using their unseen edge to crack cases and expose Marcus's killer. It's a premise that promises both chills and thrills, and it delivers in ways that keep viewers swiping.

Audience reception has been overwhelmingly positive, with fans praising the show's fresh take on the buddy comedy and ghost story genres. The community consensus highlights the chemistry between Marcus and Dylan as the series' beating heart, and the gradual unraveling of the murder mystery keeps viewers hooked. Tropes like the "only I can see you" bond and the "ghost with unfinished business" are executed with surprising emotional depth, though some critics note that the vertical format occasionally rushes pivotal moments. Still, the inventive use of ghostly abilities in a business setting—like eavesdropping on rivals or uncovering hidden evidence—adds a clever twist that sets it apart from typical supernatural dramas.

Ultimately, "My Business Partner Is a Ghost" is a charming, briskly paced series that balances humor, heart, and suspense. While it may not reinvent the genre, it executes its premise with confidence and charisma, making it a standout in the vertical drama space. For those who enjoy a mix of the macabre and the mundane, this is a ghost story worth haunting your watchlist.
