My Ex Made Me Fat! Sweet Revenge

EDITORIAL REVIEW / CRITIC'S TAKE

Is My Ex Made Me Fat! Sweet Revenge Worth Your Time?

DramaShorts' "My Ex Made Me Fat! Sweet Revenge" hooks viewers with a premise that's as irresistible as it is relatable: a woman publicly humiliated by her ex, only to return as a fitness mogul and expose his sabotage. The early episodes waste no time, plunging us into the betrayal and setting up the revenge arc with efficient, cliffhanger-driven pacing. It's the kind of narrative momentum that keeps vertical-drama audiences swiping, each short episode delivering a satisfying dose of karma and glamour.

Community discussions across Reddit and MyDramaList reveal a consensus that the drama delivers on its promise of sweet revenge, with audiences cheering the protagonist's transformation and the satisfying downfall of the villains. The tropes—hidden identity, betrayal, and revenge—are executed with knowing enthusiasm, though some viewers note that the middle episodes sag under repetitive misunderstandings and melodramatic confrontations. The chemistry between the lead and her supportive new partner is a highlight, offering a wholesome counterpoint to the toxic ex. However, critics point out that the ex's schemes become cartoonishly obvious, and the pacing occasionally stumbles as it stretches the reunion climax across multiple episodes. Still, the community celebrates the empowering message and the protagonist's agency in crafting her own happy ending.

For fans of short-form revenge dramas, this is a binge-worthy confection that justifies its coins with a satisfying, if predictable, arc. It's best suited for viewers who relish over-the-top comeuppance and don't mind a few melodramatic detours. While it won't convert skeptics of the genre, its replay value lies in the cathartic climax and the feel-good romance. A solid 8.3—sweet, if not entirely nutritious.
