My Ex-Wife is a Secret Billionaire

Is My Ex-Wife is a Secret Billionaire Worth Your Time?

NetShort's "My Ex-Wife is a Secret Billionaire" dangles a tantalizing premise: the ultimate revenge fantasy where the discarded wife is actually the puppet master. The early episodes hook viewers with a classic setup—Chloe, the seemingly ordinary ex, watches her ex-husband Julian parade his new flame Amber, all while secretly bankrolling his empire. The dramatic irony is delicious, and the show's brisk pace (40 episodes, each a few minutes) ensures that the humiliation and hints of her true power come fast, keeping audiences swiping for the next reveal.

Community discussions across Reddit and MyDramaList reveal a consensus: this is a guilty-pleasure binge that delivers on its karma payback promise. Fans celebrate Chloe's quiet agency and the satisfying comeuppance, though some critique the melodrama as over-the-top and the middle episodes as sagging under repetitive misunderstandings. The hidden identity trope is executed with gleeful excess, and the chemistry between Chloe and Julian crackles with toxic tension, but the villainous Amber occasionally veers into cartoonish territory. Viewers appreciate the cathartic gala climax but note that the legal fallout feels rushed, leaving some threads dangling.

For those who relish a well-executed revenge fantasy with a side of schadenfreude, this drama justifies the coins and time. It's best suited for fans of vertical short dramas who enjoy rapid-fire plot twists and don't mind a bit of melodramatic cheese. While not groundbreaking, its bingeable nature and satisfying conclusion make it a worthy addition to your watchlist—just don't expect subtlety.
