My Father's Killer Is My Master

EDITORIAL REVIEW / CRITIC'S TAKE

Is My Father's Killer Is My Master Worth Your Time?

DramaBox's "My Father's Killer Is My Master" opens with a premise that is pure catnip for vertical-drama addicts: a young woman discovers her enigmatic mentor—the man who taught her to harness the paranormal—is the very person who murdered her father. The early episodes waste no time, plunging viewers into a world where forbidden love and supernatural revenge collide. Each cliffhanger is engineered to keep thumbs hovering over the "next episode" button, and the show's relentless momentum makes it dangerously easy to binge long past bedtime.

Community discussions across Reddit and MyDramaList reveal a divided but passionate audience. Fans celebrate the electric chemistry between the leads and the heroine's gradual evolution from pawn to powerful paranormal practitioner. The hidden-identity trope is executed with enough breadcrumbs to keep sleuths engaged, and the betrayal arc delivers genuine gut-punches. However, critics note that the middle stretch sags under repetitive misunderstandings and melodramatic padding, with some viewers feeling the villain's manipulation becomes cartoonish. The paranormal elements, while atmospheric, sometimes feel like a convenient plot device rather than a fully realized system. Still, the climax—a ritualistic reveal that forces the heroine to choose between love and vengeance—earns widespread praise for its emotional payoff and the master's tragic sacrifice.

For those who relish forbidden romance wrapped in supernatural intrigue, this 47-episode ride justifies the coins, provided you can forgive the occasional narrative lull. It's best suited for fans of enemies-to-lovers who appreciate a heroine who ultimately chooses herself. The replay value is moderate—the journey is thrilling once, but the tragic ending may deter repeat viewings. A solid, if flawed, addition to the vertical drama canon.
