My Sunset Love Affair with the Billionaire CEO

EDITORIAL REVIEW / CRITIC'S TAKE

Is My Sunset Love Affair with the Billionaire CEO Worth Your Time?

MiniShort's "My Sunset Love Affair with the Billionaire CEO" opens with the kind of irresistible bait that vertical-romance viewers live for: a wounded heroine, a powerful man hiding his true self, and a revenge arc simmering beneath the romance. The premise leans hard into the fantasy of the anonymous investor who could be anyone, and the early episodes trade in quick, punchy reveals that keep thumbs scrolling. It's not subtle, but it's efficient—each cliffhanger lands like a slap, and the show knows exactly how to dangle the promise of Adrian's hidden identity before the gala finally detonates it.

Across forum boards and clip reactions, the community consensus is that the chemistry between Adrian and Ella carries the serial through its shakier stretches. Viewers celebrate the gala confrontation as a genuinely satisfying payoff, with the brother's onstage exposure of the decade-old embezzlement scheme delivering the betrayal trope at full volume. The villains' downfall—arrests, frozen assets, public disgrace—lands as cathartic wish-fulfillment. Yet the same audiences note that Ella often functions as a spectator in her own story, frozen in the crowd while the men battle over legacy and money. Pacing complaints surface too: the misunderstanding beats feel stretched, and some mid-arc episodes spin their wheels before the finale's sunset beach reconciliation. The hidden-identity thread is praised for its reveal but criticized for being telegraphed too early for attentive viewers.

For fans of the genre, this is a solid, coin-worthy binge—the kind of short-form romance that delivers its promised catharsis without overstaying its welcome. It won't convert skeptics, and Ella's limited agency keeps it from greatness, but the gala climax and the villains' comeuppance justify the ride. Best suited to viewers who want revenge served hot with a side of CEO fantasy, it earns a respectable replay value for a lazy afternoon scroll.
