Reborn, I Choose The Other Groom

EDITORIAL REVIEW / CRITIC'S TAKE

Is Reborn, I Choose The Other Groom Worth Your Time?

“Reborn, I Choose The Other Groom” dangles a deliciously familiar carrot: a second chance at life, a cheating fiancé, and a stepsister who deserves every bit of comeuppance. What hooks viewers in the early episodes is the promise of a righteous takedown, and the drama wastes little time delivering. The rebirth premise immediately grants our heroine agency, and the introduction of the “other groom”—a seemingly overlooked underdog—adds a tantalizing mystery. The narrative momentum is brisk, with each short episode ending on a cliffhanger that practically begs for the next click. It’s the kind of setup that short-form romance thrives on: high stakes, clear villains, and a heroine who refuses to be a doormat.

Across discussion boards and clip reactions, the community consensus is largely celebratory, though not without caveats. Fans cheer for the heroine’s sharp tongue and the satisfying public humiliation of the stepsister and ex-fiancé at the engagement banquet—a climax that many describe as “worth the wait.” The hidden identity trope, with the other groom revealed as a powerful heir, is a crowd-pleaser, though some viewers note it feels a bit too convenient. Chemistry between the leads is frequently praised, but critics point out that the romance sometimes takes a backseat to the revenge plot. Pacing is another sticking point: while the short format keeps things tight, some episodes feel rushed, and the melodrama occasionally tips into over-the-top territory. Still, the betrayals are deliciously villainous, and the heroine’s agency is a standout, even if the misunderstandings feel contrived.

For those who adore a good revenge fantasy with a dash of romance, this drama justifies the coins. It’s best suited for fans of vertical short dramas who relish fast-paced comeuppance and don’t mind a few plot holes. The binge value is high—each episode is a quick hit of satisfaction—but replay value may be lower once the twists are known. If you’re here for the schadenfreude and a heroine who wins, this one’s a solid bet.
