Secretly Dating the Billionaire Dad of My Mean Bully

EDITORIAL REVIEW / CRITIC'S TAKE

Is Secretly Dating the Billionaire Dad of My Mean Bully Worth Your Time?

What if the man you mistake for a male escort turns out to be your new boss—and the father of the mean girl who made your life hell? That's the deliciously twisted premise of "Secretly Dating the Billionaire Dad of My Mean Bully," a 50-episode vertical drama on DramaBox that takes the "ugly duckling" revenge fantasy and injects it with a shot of taboo adrenaline. Sarah's journey from cheating boyfriend to billionaire CEO Ryan is a rollercoaster of mistaken identities, workplace power plays, and forbidden desire that hooks you from the first episode.

The community consensus is clear: this drama knows exactly what it's doing. Fans devour the classic tropes—the secret identity, the workplace romance, the evil stepsister figure—but praise how the series executes them with relentless pacing and satisfying payoffs. The bully Grace is suitably hiss-worthy, and the repeated schemes by John and Grace that always fail provide a cathartic rhythm. The wedding-day car crash that reveals Grace isn't Ryan's real daughter is the kind of soapy twist that viewers live for, and Sarah's rise from intern to empire-ruler alongside Ryan delivers the ultimate wish-fulfillment. Sure, some critics note the plot is predictable, but the chemistry between leads and the sheer audacity of the premise keep the fandom engaged.

As a columnist, I have to tip my hat to a drama that embraces its guilty-pleasure nature with such gusto. It's not high art, but it's high entertainment—a binge-worthy confection that knows its audience and serves them exactly what they crave. The rating of 8.3 and 84% positive score reflect a community satisfied with the escapist thrill. If you're in the mood for a revenge fantasy with a taboo twist, this billionaire dad is worth the secret.
