The Billionaire's X-Ray Ex-Wife's Regret

EDITORIAL REVIEW / CRITIC'S TAKE

Is The Billionaire's X-Ray Ex-Wife's Regret Worth Your Time?

The premise of "The Billionaire's X-Ray Ex-Wife's Regret" is a tantalizing cocktail of superpowered revenge and underdog triumph that hooks viewers from the first episode. The fantasy of possessing X-ray vision—allowing the heroine to see through deception and turn the tables on her powerful ex-husband—is instantly gratifying. The early episodes waste no time establishing the betrayal and her hidden identity, creating a brisk narrative momentum that keeps audiences clicking for the next reveal. It's the kind of high-concept, low-commitment thrill that vertical drama platforms excel at, promising a satisfying dose of justice served cold.

Community discussions across Reddit and MyDramaList reveal a consensus that the drama delivers on its core tropes, particularly the revenge arc and the hidden identity element. Audiences celebrate the protagonist's agency; she's not a passive victim but an active architect of her own comeback. The chemistry between the leads is often praised, adding layers to the inevitable regret the billionaire feels. However, viewers also note pacing issues—some middle episodes feel stretched, and the melodrama can tip into overdrive, with the villain's schemes becoming cartoonishly convoluted. The X-ray vision, while a fun gimmick, is sometimes underutilized, leaving fans wanting more creative uses beyond the climactic gala reveal. Still, the schadenfreude of watching the villains get their comeuppance is a consistent highlight.

For those who relish a satisfying revenge fantasy with a supernatural twist, this drama justifies the time and coins. It's best suited for fans of underdog rise stories and hidden identity tropes who can overlook occasional pacing lulls. The binge value is high—80 episodes fly by when you're rooting for the heroine's triumph—and the replay factor is moderate, as the climax loses some impact once the surprise is gone. Overall, it's a solid entry in the genre, offering a guilty pleasure that delivers on its promises.
