Twice Loved, Twice Lost

Is Twice Loved, Twice Lost Worth Your Time?

NetShort's "Twice Loved, Twice Lost" opens with a tantalizing premise: a face-swapping curse, a stolen identity, and a revenge-driven heroine who must reclaim her life. The early episodes hook viewers with rapid-fire reveals and a central mystery that keeps the momentum brisk. Ivy's journey from victim to power player is immediately compelling, and the fantasy romance elements—complete with a dragon curse and a childhood promise—add a layer of escapist allure that short-form audiences devour. The show knows exactly how to bait its hook, dangling just enough information to keep you tapping "next episode."

Community discussions across Reddit and MyDramaList reveal a consensus that the drama's strength lies in its power couple dynamic and the satisfying revenge arc. Fans celebrate Ivy's agency and the chemistry between her and Lucian, though some note that the misunderstanding tropes feel stretched thin by the midpoint. The face-swapping curse and hidden identity are executed with flair, but pacing issues arise in the latter third, where melodrama occasionally overshadows character logic. Viewers appreciate the villainous Queen's manipulation and Rosa's downfall, but criticize the rushed resolution of Rex's dragon curse, which feels like a convenient afterthought. Overall, the community agrees that the tropes are handled with enthusiasm, even if the execution stumbles in maintaining tension.

For those who relish fantasy romance with a revenge twist, "Twice Loved, Twice Lost" justifies its 70-episode run, though binge-watchers may find the middle stretch testing their patience. The satisfying climax and the couple's hard-won happiness offer a rewarding payoff, making it a solid choice for fans of power couples and identity-reveal dramas. However, if you're allergic to melodramatic pacing, you might want to skim. It's a guilty pleasure that delivers on its promises, even if it takes a few detours along the way.
